Synthesize = to form (a material or abstract entity) by combining parts or elements
How do you make sense of all the information that is constantly bombarding you at work - emails, websites, letters, brochures, twitters, blogs, conversations ... ?
In order to achieve your own, and your organisations objectives you need to be able to synthesize all the information and tasks in front of you and pick out the key content
As an example: Instead of spending a whole day getting quotes for car insurance renewal - online, on the phone and reading information sent through the post, the same work can be carried out in a fraction of the time by using an online comparison site. Using the expertise and infrastructure of another company can help to make sense of all the information available.
In our own business there is not usually one source we can go to that can simplify everything - we need to do it ourselves. In order to do this effectively we need to know some tools and approaches that will help us 'pull it all together' - how to synthesize all the information and activities - and then make the best possible decisions.
That is where the Synthesizing manager workshop comes in - it provides an approach that is well informed and not based on 'leaps of faith'.
Key workshop objectives:
1) making effective use of resources
2) managing and collating information
3) communication and negotiation
The workshop is highly participative and will work on some of the real-life issues from your business.
This course will be run by JRK Consultants Limited is a consultancy specialising in Training and Organisation Development.
Cost: Fully subsidised
