Green light for eco business park
Planning consent was last night granted to economic development company Sea Space for the first of its Enviro21 Innovation Parks - a series of ‘green’ business parks on the outskirts of Hastings and Bexhill on the East Sussex coast.

Dynamic new hospitality group Lightening Leisure Ltd has signed a deal with economic development company Sea Space to take on Marina Pavilion, on St Leonards seafront, as a high quality venue. Lightening Leisure will brand the venue ‘Azur at The Marina Pavilion.’

Revolutionary Product Development Centre launched in Hastings Innovation Centre
A new Product Development Centre (PDC) based in the Innovation Centre, Highfield Drive, St Leonards, was today opened by local MP Michael Foster. This new concept will help local businesses and schools, offering state-of-the- art equipment to demonstrate best practice in product development.

Minister Marks Creation of Hastings' Business District - and £12M of Private Investment
Jonathan Shaw MP, Minister for the South East, visited Hastings yesterday to mark the creation of Priory Quarter as a vibrant new town centre business and education district - and to announce £12M of private sector investment from Allied Irish Bank. He commended the progress of the development, stating that he was impressed with the achievements of the public and private sector working in partnership.

Plans for Priory Square Unveiled
A planning application for a public square, the next phase of the development of Priory Quarter in Hastings town centre, has been submitted by Sea Space, the local economic development company.
The plans show the new Priory Square at the south end of Priory Street, next to the new Lacuna Place offices (currently under construction) and behind the Post Office.

Skills For Business Festival - A Learning Experience
The second Skills For Business Festival was held at the Royal Victoria Hotel in Hastings this week. Over 100 people were present to sample a wide range of organisations committed to helping local businesses improve the skills of their employees. The exhibition was sponsored by the eBiz Centre and supported by Hastings College.
