Green light for eco business park

Planning consent was last night granted to economic development company Sea Space for the first of its Enviro21 Innovation Parks - a series of ‘green’ business parks on the outskirts of Hastings and Bexhill on the East Sussex coast.

Marina Pavilion taken on by Lightening Leisure

Dynamic new hospitality group Lightening Leisure Ltd has signed a deal with economic development company Sea Space to take on Marina Pavilion, on St Leonards seafront, as a high quality venue. Lightening Leisure will brand the venue ‘Azur at The Marina Pavilion.’

And the winner is... Sustrans' Connect2

A new coastal cycle and pedestrian route linking Bexhill, St Leonards and Hastings is to be built after winning National Lottery funding.

The scheme was part of a winning bid by national cycling charity Sustrans for a £50million Big Lottery Fund grant. As one of 79 routes across the country which make up Sustrans' Connect2 project, the Hastings to Bexhill Coastal Connection will take a £380,000 share.

Minister Marks Creation of Hastings' Business District - and £12M of Private Investment

Jonathan Shaw MP, Minister for the South East, visited Hastings yesterday to mark the creation of Priory Quarter as a vibrant new town centre business and education district - and to announce £12M of private sector investment from Allied Irish Bank. He commended the progress of the development, stating that he was impressed with the achievements of the public and private sector working in partnership.

Development company Sea Space has submitted its first planning application for the Enviro21 Innovation Parks - a series of environmentally exemplary business parks which will put the Hastings area on the map.

Plans for Priory Square Unveiled

A planning application for a public square, the next phase of the development of Priory Quarter in Hastings town centre, has been submitted by Sea Space, the local economic development company.

The plans show the new Priory Square at the south end of Priory Street, next to the new Lacuna Place offices (currently under construction) and behind the Post Office.

People in Hastings and Bexhill are being encouraged to get voting for Lottery money for a new walking and cycle route.

New Roads for Ore Valley

A planning application for new roads in the Ore Valley has been submitted by Sea Space, designed to give access to new homes and Ore station as the next part of the Millennium Community project.

The main part of the planning application is a new road network leading from Hughenden Road past the new college site behind Parker Road, connecting to Ore Station and continuing north to Fellows Road and Chiltern Drive. The application also includes plans for drains and services.
