Projects - Station Plaza
Ambitious proposals to create Station Plaza are being developed by the Hastings and Rother New College team. It is being designed as an inspiring gateway to the town for business visitors, tourists and residents alike.
At the centre of the scheme is a new £65M sixth form and further education college - the result of a fundamental review of post-16 education by the Learning & Skills Council. The proposals also include a health centre and 103 new homes as part of the Millennium Community programme.

Further Information
Sea Space purchased the old Station Goods Yard as the land for the scheme in 2003 and undertook the initial design work. The management team of the new college is now taking this forward, carrying out detailed design work and submitting a planning application in the winter 2006/7.
The early stages of this project were part-financed by the EU.
