Sussex Arms Junction Works Nearly Complete

Improvement works to the Sussex Arms Junction (where Priory Road, Old London Road, Frederick Road and Mount Road meet) are nearly completed.

The work has included new road surfacing, adding anti-slip treatment, moving bus stop positions and street lights.

New traffic lights and pedestrian crossings have been put in place. A computerised system is now being installed and will be tested and commissioned over the next two weeks.

Extra temporary road signage will make traffic aware that the signals are not yet working and will slow traffic down to make the junction safer for pedestrians.
