			<title>Saga still growing one year on, with 494 more Hastings jobs to hire</title>
			<description>Saga opened its doors  in Hastings last January and today employs 306 people.  Over the past year, the firm has conducted over 1,000 interviews and delivered 62,291 hours of on-the-job and classroom training.  Nine new joiners have already started their career progression and been promoted to supervisory positions.

Saga’s One Priory Square office has the capacity to accommodate 800 staff and there could be 494 reasons to be cheerful in Hastings in 2012 as Saga Insurance plans to grow its operations and fill the building.</description>

The proposed development would replace Queensbury House at the top of Havelock Road, plus some adjoining buildings, with a distinctive, contemporary landmark development facing the rail station. It would provide 6,000m2 net (64,500 sq ft) of office space and a café/restaurant on the ground floor.</description>

			<description>The South Queensway Enviro21 Park—a new sustainable business park in Hastings—has its first occupier. Two business units have been leased by Poppypac Ltd, the expanding, environmentally-conscious contract manufacturer for the health and beauty industry. 

Poppypac’s business units total 1,174m2 (12,628 sq ft) in floor space and accommodate the company’s expansion plans.  Two units are still available to let, each with floor space of 1,023m2 (11,009 sq ft).</description>
